Do you photograph pets other than horses?

Yes! I photograph dogs, horses & the occasional barn cat.

Do you charge extra for travel?

I do not charge extra if you are within 100km of Ottawa, Ontario. Outside of that radius, mileage rates apply.

I have more than one animal - can they all be included in the session?

All sessions include up to three animals. Additional animals can be added at a rate of $100 per extra animal. This allows for the extra time I’ll spend on-site as well as the extra time spent editing.

Can I order extra products after my session?

Absolutely! You’re able to order any number of items above and beyond your session package directly through your online gallery.

Where do the sessions take place?

For horses, the sessions will almost always be wherever your horse is boarded unless you have something else in mind. I’ve had some incredible sessions with horses in rivers, in forests and, in other really neat places so I’m always open to investigating locations if you’re willing to trailer and your horse is very comfortable off-property.

For dogs, I have some incredible locations with a ton of variety that I’m able to suggest including dog-friendly parks (both on-leash and off-leash parks), on-leash only forested trails (if you would prefer your pup stays on-leash and away from other pups), stunning public gardens and some other really special places. Normally I like to get an idea of the type of images that you’d like and then I’m happy to make suggestions and recommendations.

My animal isn’t very well behaved and I don’t know if they’ll cooperate - is that a problem?

The beauty of photography is that a photograph is a very short moment in time… less than a fraction of a second! This means that even if your pet decides not to cooperate, it won’t look like it in the photos. I have a full arsenal of tricks up my sleeve to help you get beautiful images you’ll love.

My pet can’t be off-leash/off-leadline - is that a problem?

Not at all. I edit out many lead lines, leashes and, halters depending on what would look best in an image. Please let me know if this is something you have in mind.

What if it rains?

When we book our session, I also always build in a rain date to ensure that we have a back-up plan if the weather doesn’t cooperate. I watch the weather forecast like a hawk leading up to sessions and will be in touch if I think the weather will not work for us.

What if I need to cancel my session?

If you need to cancel your session for any reason after you’ve booked, you will receive a full refund minus $100 as long as you let me know at least 48 hours in advance prior to your session.
